I voted Hungersite all day. I think it is phenomenal, and sad to see it go.

I don't get all the Drip love. To me it sounds like the outro jam the entire time- it goes in no other directions until about 16:30. And then it gets pretty pretty pretty good. When they finally take that second jam into a 4/4 time signature at 22:30 is the best! I will say it has grown on me as the tourney has soldiered on. But I will say this Drip is probably not in my top 25 for this year.

I love this Hungersite an absolute ton and think it’s a great part of what’s one of the best goose shows of all time on 2/8/25, but this Dripfield is the goat that I’ve heard to date for the song. How far will it advance is the question? It’s f’ing electric and will be in the forever jams rotation for sure!

More people than the statistically insignificant 10% are voting for this Hungersite? Wow. That's wild to me.

By no means a knock on this HS. It's a good version. But let's be real here. C'mon

Slight edge to the Hungersite here mostly because of how unique it is compared to other Hungersite jams. It does the westville rockdale thing so well.
This drip is also a top jam for me I just find the Hungersite slightly more interesting with its spooky and anxiety inducing energy.

Not particularly close to me, the Drip is leaps and bounds better.

It’s terrible that one of the jams has to get voted out, but c’est la vie. This Dripfield is an absolute monster. Its first section consists of some absolutely relentless 2 guitar goose. Peter adds some sick background guitar to make this a sonically heavy psychedelic jam. Every member of the band is locked in and adding something to strengthen the brimming sound. Peter ends up moving to keys and you get a bit more of a balanced sound as the band moves forward in this jam with lockstep. After a robust peak, the band moves into the cooldown segueway jam to This Old Sea. With no rush the band finds a calming blissful space akin to Elvis’s Suspicious Minds, as pointed out by The Principal last round (amazing ears!). If there’s any jam that is deserved to be called a monster or juggernaut it’s this one!

This Dripfield is slightly edged out by this Hungersite which blossoms from a slow uneasy groove to full anxiety inducing chaos. I love jams that make you feel certain emotions and this Hungersite excels at it, which is why it gains my vote.

I think this is my favorite all time Drip. Maybe. I’d need to relisten to a few others to confirm, but regardless this matchup is not close for me. And I was at Milwaukee and not GR!

Battle of the intratour heavyweights today! Love it. For this particular matchup this Drip firmly remained in my top 16 all year which is saying something. I do like this Hungersite but I was a late bloomer to it and it’s simply not as good as the Drip

I'm team Drip on this one, but this Hungersite is awesome. It's one of the few "Westville Rockdale" jams I find myself going back to, mainly because of the way the Westville chaos coalesces into a furious, Run-Like-An-Antelope finale. (When the jam is *all* chaos, I tend to respect it from a distance lol. Maybe my taste will mature at some point.)

I'm still not sure if this Dripfield is the GOAT, as I have PHX ranked ever-so-slightly higher. But I could be persuaded. I mean, this jam has three distinct kick-ass sections, each section is completely different from the other, and I can't tell which is my favorite. Onward!

Finally: Winter tour, man. We'll be talking about it for a long time methinks.

This Dripfield is fantastic, and should make quick work of this Hungersite. The real test comes next round.

Insane for these two jams to meet in the round of 32. My #3 vs #5 overall.

Drip looks likely to advance and I'll leave the jam analysis to others but all I care to say is if you've somehow slept on either of these jams to this point, set aside some time.

I'm not a fun of Hungersite. It's just never resonated with me as a song, and I've never really found it to be THAT interesting of a jam platform. I get that it became sort of anthemic for the band after RCMH (IWATS!), but there's just no excuse at this point β€” especially after large catalogue growth β€” to play it at 25% of shows.

That said, this is a FANTASTIC Hungersite, and almost certainly my favorite to date. It does that Westville Rockdale thing, but more cohesively. It keeps me interested until the very end. Really really good stuff, and I've been glad to support it. Until now.

This Drip is everything I want in a multi-faceted jam, while jettisoning a lot of things I don't care for in many of those sorts of jams. Unfortunately, it does dispense with its composed "let down" ending (substituting a floaty bliss dissolve into TOS). Drip all the way.

Great Hungersite but an even greater Dripfield IMO. Onward for Dripfield. That matchup with Fish in the Sea next round will be interesting.

Dripfield gets my vote and its the best version they played this year. A monstrous and relentless 2 guitar jam that eventually transitions into a beautiful slow outro. I'll take this type of Goose jam every day of the week. The Hungersite is also very good but I had it ranked lower on my list.

I had Hungersite at #9 overall and Dripfield at #10. Really sad to see these jams meet so early on in the tournament here! No bad pick in this matchup.
