A worthy JOTY against a monumental moment in Goose history. This is an easy vote for Madhuvan

Maybe the real jam of the year is the friends we made along the way.

This Factory Fiction was fun. Helluva way to start the night. But I'm not sure why people were voting for it to be in this bracket. Whatever, it's a 16-seed. Later Gator!

I think this Madhuvan and the one from 2/15 should see the final. I was there for this one and thought they'd never top it - only to have them top it a week later - maybe. My attendance bias says this one, but I sure wish I had been present for both. The FF was a bold statement at MSG but not a JOTY jam.

Bummed that this FF made it into the bracket over actual jams like Hula Tumble, Sterling Heights Butter Rum, MKE Empress, Gonzo Big Modern, Indy DMM, and Louisville EMG. I could go on. Listen to those jams if you haven't already!

But yeah this Madhuvan is obviously like on another planet. It was my no. 3 overall and I think it's one of Goose's greatest jams of all time, full stop. The ending is epic beyond epic. We'll have plenty of time to talk about it as the matchups progress.

If this Madhuvan loses to Goosemas Arrow in the third round, though, I'll lose all faith in humanity. That Arrow is great, don't get me wrong. I think it was my no. 53 overall. But, like... if it had been played at a normal show and not been followed by the best cover of the year... I doubt it would be a 5-seed. Let's just say that. Yes I'm salty.

Pretty much a lot of what's been said below - was lucky enough to have been at both of these shows, FF @ MSG will always be a sweet memory, but will say what was even more memorable - the crowd energy during the furious end to the 2/7 Madhuvan in Milwaukee. For anyone on here and commenting, you know exactly what I mean if you were there - unlike anything I've experienced at a rock show during its jam peak from the collective crowd energy (2/7 > 2/15 Madhuvan too).

FF MSG opener an all timer Goose moment but that doesn't make it a JOTY contender.

I have this epic Madhuvan a smidge behind 2/15 but won't be upset if it wins the whole thing.

Only interesting part of this matchup will be seeing if this Madhuvan gets more votes than the 2/15 one did.

The feel good of FF vs a true JOTY contender is no contest. Ironically I could see this 1 seed Madhuvan getting into trouble before the Final Four

Obviously I’m going with the monster Mad. BUT. This is show bias to the extreme. From Ricks’ first few notes of the FF that evening, you knew you were in for something special. Will never forget that night

Despite my attendance bias towards the Factory, feels like more of an epic moment than an epic jam. Still great, but easy call here!

Madhuvan JOTY! Prefer it to the 2/15 Madhuvan for sure.

Obvious choice is Madhuvan here. The FF is good, but mostly just here because it was MSG opener. Nothing too special in the jam. Madhuvan is a horse that starts with a chugging gallop, and soars into a breakneck sprint. Very good. Still pales in comparison to 02/15 Madhuvan though, which is JOTY and I will take every opportunity to say it.

Can anyone tell me what the guy in the audience is yelling before the band starts this Madhuvan? It sounds like he keep chanting “Friday… Peter”, but I am not really sure what that means or why he would keep repeating that.

This Madhuvan blew my mind in MKE and that of literally everyone around me in the venue. People were throwing out high fives for a full 30 secs after it wrapped. While it was sick AF to see a FF open that MSG show, it’s not even close.

Madhuvan by a mile, my #3 overall jam this year.

This Madhuvan set the tone for all the awesome Madhuvan jams we got this year. Was it the best? No. But it beats this super energetic Factory which I admittedly had ranked too high on my top-64.

No contest here. I'll forever remember the feeling of hearing the opening notes to this FF and being in the building for it, but that doesn't make it an awesome jam. This Madhuvan is my top Madhuvan in a year full of awesome Madhuvans, so yeah...no contest here.

This FF does the FF thing and it was cool that it opened such a big show. But it was in no way a top 64 jam.

The MKE Madhuvan on the other hand is a heavy and powerful monster that makes you want to run through a brick wall. My favorite Madhuvan of the year and my number #2 overall.

I guess this FF is here because it opened such a big show? Fun moment, to be sure, but this one should end north of 90/10.

This is the true #1 Madhuvan. Factory should feel honored to get filleted by this beast.

Second best Madhuvan of the year easily steamrolls a jam that doesn't belong anywhere near the bracket

MSG Factory was an incredible moment, but doesnt belong in this list. I'm just not sure this 2/7 Madhuvan is different enough from 2/15 Madhuvan to deserve its seeding, sorry Milwaukee but I think this should be the first #1 to go down.. maybe not to this incredible psychedelic chaos of a Factory, but to either 12/12 Arrow or 6/1 Rosewood.. it prob wont, but thats my feels xoxo
