Personally really dig this Wysteria - also agreed with some of the comments below that the Richmond Sinnerman > this 6/21 one…pretty big gap too honestly.

Was in attendance for both, though this Wysteria is one of the best jams of the year, this sinnerman really digs. Loved Kemba, and I would love it if they came back.

This Wysteria is a rollercoaster of jam perfection, it goes between deep and dark goose, which I would love to see more of, as well as popping your head above the clouds for while. Loved it.

This sinnerman though, an absolute discofest, a fill of wonder and awe, as the bounce of this tune takes away your worries and reminds you that β€œon that day”, this was the jam that swayed my heart.

That Wysteria does nothing for me - it’s not tight - nothing crazy musically. Not great two guitar (unlike the Alph Mad). Way overrated. At least the Sinnerman was tight!!!

Not a big fan of the jammed out Sinnerman! I was excited when I saw a jammed out version but it was too monotonous. I like the bit dark side of wysteria but not a 2 seed for me.

Oh, and Los Feliz Ghost mentioned the Louisville EMG which gives me an opening to mention that it is the year's most underrated jam by my rankings (it's the jam I ranked the highest that didn't make the tourney). Everyone should listen to the Louisville EMG some more. It rules.

This Wysteria was my #3 jam of the year. This Sinnerman is fun and cool and I bet it absolutely smoked if you were in attendance, but it does not belong in this tourney imo.

This Wysteria is my #2 JOTY. Trevor and Cotter are in lock step throughout until Rick and Peter take it home. Sinnerman is one of the best songs to see Goose perform live and is always a highlight, but this Wysteria is JOTY worthy.

What's this Sinnerman even doing in the bracket? Richmond "SinnerGOONTZ" is twice the jam that's this CMAC version is and I'm not even sure that one belongs in the bracket. Though I would understand it's inclusion

Most likely a hot take considering some of these other comments, but I dont think this was the best Sinnerman of the year. If we're going off of Sinnergoontz, I enjoyed Richmond's offering far more than this one. Still wouldn't change my vote though, Wysteria by a country mile.

Speaking of, it's a shame that so many of those VA jams were neglected in the bracket. Alas... c'est la vie.

The curse of the #2 seed strikes yet again. Not sure what people see in this Wysteria. Conversely, I quite enjoy the driving groove of the Sinnerman. I love that it returns to the song at the end with a very nice and smooth transition. Taking the underdog here by a longshot.

Both are fire. Was at both shows too so no attendance bias. (But only Wysteria was my birthday show)

Damn, surprised to see this so lopsided! Dark -> Bliss is cool fo sho but Sinnerman is an unrelenting dance party.

Been trying to remind myself to not compare the jams to other versions of the jams.. like sure they did a few Sinnermans like this, but looking at it as a standalone jam? It's fkn sick and probably deserves a higher seed.

Obviously this incredible Wysteria is moving on, but I am bummed it was paired up against this Sinnerman. I've had this Sinnerman on my JOTY watch list since June (and ended up ranking it pretty high in my bracket), and was hoping I could vote it through a time or two before it was eliminated. I think it's different and unique... and there isnt much like it in the competition, but I guess that's how it goes sometimes. At least it will live on as the GOAT Sinnerman entry on my "Best of the Best" playlist. Good luck Wysteria... I wouldn't be opposed to seeing you in the Final Four!

This Wysteria is my favorite jam of the fall tour with a fantastic switch from dissonance to bliss that was jaw dropping. I miss a good jammed out Wysteria. This one is EASILY the best since Portland ME last year. Sinnergoontz is ok and all but this matchup should be the most lopsided one yet.

I love this Sinnerman but let be real, this Wysteria is absolutely fantastic and I believe deserves to go deep in this tournament. CMAC Sinnerman is one of the songs I go to often as a better example of a new sound that is heavy synth on disco and house beats, but uniquely Goose despite its unfortunate handle. Sinnerman was my #34 and I had Wyst 6 spots ahead of it. Voting Wyst but CMAC you’re still super fun to my ears on replay

I love the goontz, but goontz is dessert. This Wysteria is a big fat, medium-rare steak and potato dinner.

Purposefully provocative suggestion: Let's have a separate "Goontz" bracket next year so those jams don't take up space in the main bracket.

This Sinnerman (like the other Goontz jams) didn't make my bracket. It's a fun jam, for sure, but I can't tell the difference between it and the other Goontz jams. There are some excellent jams that I wish had made the bracket instead, including (as I listed elsewhere on this forum) Hula Tumble, Sterling Heights Butter Rum, MKE Empress, Gonzo Big Modern, Indy DMM, and Louisville EMG.

Switching gears: To my ears, this Wysteria (my no. 11 overall) was the best jam played after June and is a borderline JOTY contender. And I don't mean "borderline" as a slight. It's just that once you are left with the top 10-15 jams, the competition gets stiff. But this Wysteria simply does not let up. The first jam is an engine of dark energy that I wish the band fired up more often. The second jam, a gorgeous bliss conclusion, is a real tear-jerker, so I can't complain. But part of me wished they had kept the jam dark as it drove toward the peak (the way they did with MKE Madhuvan).

This Wysteria is my favorite jam played outside of February. It cuts to the chase immediately and flawlessly morphs through each of its distinct sections. This jam represents the strengths of 2025 Goose very well and deserves a real shot to be JOTY.

No commentary necessary. This Wysteria crushes and this Sinnerman is more Goontz that's fun in the moment but is not worthy of relistens IMO. Wysteria is going to last a while me thinks.
