Rosewood is pretty

Insert gif of Rick grooving to Boise Rosewood.

Yeah, that Rosewood is crazy...gonna go far, imo.

Rosewood wins this round but is far too repetitive and lacks the variety needed to win JOTY. All we get in that jam is a steady increase in tempo and intensity. Lacks uniqueness and the peak at the end is not nearly as good as a lot of other jams in the bracket. Impressive display of stamina from the boys but to me itβs just a good bordering on great jam thatβs stretched out to a length that gets peopleβs attention.

Went to the Wilmington show and forgot how good this AIN was, so giving it my vote knowing that rosewood will win easily.

I don't think there is a dull moment in the entire 40 min of this rosewood. Just straight unadulterated ripping funky fiery heat. That's why it's my jam of the year :)

Count me as someone who loves when they groove in the pocket like they do during this Rosewood. Fits with the setting where they were playing. Then it exploded with energy. Easy vote against good AIN that Iβm glad I listened to again.

I like this Rosewood jam on the whole, but no matter how many times I listen to it my stance hasn't really changed that there is a long middle stretch that's a bit boring and just kinda repeats itself/wears out its welcome. I'm sure it was great if you were there, no question. I like this AIN a bit more, it's an interesting jam with a strong theme.

Just an observation based on the comments (I've already said my peace on this match below):
If you're refusing to vote for a jam because you think it's too long...
That is just as silly as voting for a jam because it is long.
Let the merit of the contents drive your decision. Time is a human construct. Art is Real.
Some of you would have murdered the 1-seed Seattle Echo in cold blood a couple years ago due to a lack of attention span. Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Giving this to the best AIN of the year, and yes I'm looking at you Westville!
I'm glad Goose still knows how to stretch a song out, but I'm sorry Boise-heads, this is not the JOTY. Obv going against the grain at the moment, but any time I hear Boise RW believers say "if you skip these 10 mins and listen to the next 10 mins, it's the best!" I simply cannot fathom this type of thinking to be allowed in such discourse.
Rant over. Play ball.

I love Goose. I love improv. No song needs to be 40 minutes long. It becomes unlistenable.
Rosewood this round and then Iβm voting for Madhuvan to pick it off next

I still have this Rosewood Heart as my jam of the year, but apparently the rest of the community isn't as enthusiastic about that idea as I am (still shocked that it barely cracked the top ten, if I'm being honest). I'm sure it gets the win here, and in the next round as well, but if it loses to the Wysteria from Columbus after that... I suppose I am OK with it (Rosewood was my #1 pick, Wysteria was my #4 pick... so it's kinda a win/win). Would love to see one of those two defeat the Milwaukee Madhuvan... just to keep the final four a little more "diverse"... but I guess we'll just have to see.

Everything that Los Feliz said + if you watched the livestream the whole band was an insane unified force the entire time which was awesome to see for such a long jam - separately, gotta love the differences in song preferences below, saw someone say Rosewood isnβt a very good song - if I had to pick my #1 goose song of them all itβs probably Rosewood - to each his own!

Is reverse length bias a thing?
This Boise Rosewood has some incredible improv. Continuous theme and variations, with Ricky frequently landing on that βThatβs Allβ progression he couldnβt seem to escape in β24.
Pretty much a straight tempo hauler, which is my guess as to why some are losing patienceβ¦really takes some stamina to stay in this one, but the rewards are definitely there.

I mean, who are we kidding here. Let me get this out of the way, the All I Need is good. Very good. But the Boise Rosewood is a Top 3 JOTY contender. Patient Goose is the best Goose, and this jam is so patient. This jam isn't dissonant/experimental, and it isn't pure shredding/bliss high octane. What I love is that the majority of it is just so funky and groovy, such a danceable fun jam. It never overstays it's welcome and constantly evolves while staying interesting and not getting weird. Very few jams give me goosebumps, and this one did. Side note, Rosewood Heart is not a very good song lol. Fight me. That said, I'm taking this one all the way to the finals.

Boise Rosewood is my JOTY. Been top of my list all summer. Go Boise Rosewood!!!!

This Rosewood is my JOTY and might be may favorite Goose jam since SF Wysteria 1/30/22. I'm not sure I've ever heard a jam by any band as epic, powerful, and stunning as this one. I can describe it only with over-the-top analogies. It's like a Tsunami. It starts so subtlety that it's almost relaxing. You're 20 minutes in and you don't have any reason to believe that you're about to be swept up in a destructive force of legendary proportions. Indeed, one of the reasons the final 10 minutes are so exhilarating is that they emerge so naturally from a perfectly ordinary (but fun) danceable groove. It's as if a DJ segued from "Another One Bites the Dust" to "Blood and Thunder" and somehow it worked so well that the audience didn't notice when the first track ended and the second one began.
Pour one out for this unique, multi-faceted All I Need. It ended up at no. 65 overall for me. My favorite part is the delicate, drawn-out outro jam, a technique the band leveled up in 2025.

This AIN shouldβve been higher than a #14 seed, didnβt expect it to get by the 40-minute Boise behemoth.
This Rosewood should be a #1 seed. Yes, it's long and it takes them a bit to find the second jam. But it has two stellar jams and it has what I want at a show....the jam keeps going and going. Love it.

Rosewood is good, but communication was off and considering its 40 mins long, they could have went more places with it. AIN is a better jam in terms of chemistry but doesn't earn the upset IMO.

I have been very public about my feelings about this Rosewood. I find it very overrated but it wins this matchup easily.
This should be an easy win for Boise Rosewood. This AIN is definitely worth a listen though, in a year when this song was relatively ignored from a big jam standpoint (exception Westville)

I don't love this Rosewood nearly as much as many do, but even with the incredibly long wait to get to the goods I still put it above this AIN. Solid AIN, but not enough to draw the upset vote from me.

This AIN was on the top side of my bracket since it came out. Itβs far better than a 14# seed but drew the worst possible scenario in this Rosewood. I enjoyed all 39 min and canβt say that about all of the long jams of the past
2 weeks ago
Given the hype surrounding this Rosewood I was expecting it to be a 1 or 2 seed but I'm glad it wasn't. It just doesn't move me much. It will obviously make the sweet 16 but then things get interesting vs the Columbus Wysteria.
Glad this AIN made the bracket.

The pedestal so many other Goose fans are putting this Rosewood on really has me confused. Tons of flubbing around, lots of confusion, takes way too long to get to the point, and overall just feels long for the sake of being long. It's a shame that this absolutely fantastic AIN is going to lose to such an underwhelming jam.
This AIN is such a beauty, for whatever reason it hits all my sweet spots, but with that said there is no denying the greatness of this rosewood

Easy one here - if the 6/1 Rosewood wins it all wonβt see any complaints here. Also check out the entire 6/1 Boise show - one of my favorites of 2025 and in general!
