I love the GilFITS and the SF Hoff but some of their voters are a bit like Canadian hockey fans yesterday. "But we were the better team."

Sure!

Farewell to this GOAT Drip that arrived here non-suspiciously by being better than the jams it was matched up against until now.

The last 5-6 mins of the Mad as pointed out by many others is great. As far as the rest I feel like I’m listening to the inner musings of a serial killer as interpreted by a jam band. Don’t get me wrong the dark jams are cool and unique but to me they’re like a horror movie I only need to watch once.

Everyone who has Madhuvan fatigue should complain directly to the band members so they stop being so damn good at playing it

This one is simply too powerful to be denied. Wish I was there, bet it felt like a fucking hurricane in the last 7 minutes

MKE Madhuvan genuinely blew my mind live, but Drip does things to me every listen, and I wasn't even there to soak in it. I think I know how this is poll, but voting for Drip

Goose fans know they can vote for songs other than Madhuvan, All I Need, Arcadia and Tumble for JOTY, right? Drip has been done dirty. But of course, so was 2/14 One In, One Out, 2/14 Hot Tea, 9/19 Big Modern, 5/27 This Old Sea...and don't even get me started on Gonzo fast:slow...same old same old for the win

Thank you for correcting me, MAMU Guy. I meant to type MKE Madh x2 instead of GR Madh x2, and have now corrected

Clearly I have a fixation on the superior Madh, which was (rightly) knocked out of the tourney prematurely by MKE EMG

Look, I *personally* think EMG is the JOTY, yet I CANNOT deny the fact that this Madhuvan ripped so hard in person. I'm certain a plethora of you know what I mean when I say when the whole crowd was completely dialed in along with the band. Though I cannot explain what universal wire I tapped into that night, but I could cohesively understand where the band was heading in this jam. From start to finish. It was like I hijacked a phone call and just listened in to the bands energy, purely guessing/feeling the next step they made before doing it. I've had many profound experiences, but never to that extent, nor to a jam that intense. Idk if it was the fact I was so psyched for my first Madhuvan or what, but when I heard Rick hit those first 2 chords, that's when I fully tapped in. Still, god damn was that a fucking blast! Just hear the crowd afterwards dude!!

I sure if you dug up past posts I dogged both of these jams for other songs.

Like the both. Dripfield version is just good while Madhuvan is hardcore rockin at its finest.

MD for me.

The only time I voted for 2/7 Madhuvan was the first round. … It is certainly a milestone jam for the band. But I’m judging purely on feeling between two jams….

2/14 Drip has much a higher relistenabililty factor from start to finish.

Feels like Im in the minority more often than not.

It’s pretty awesome the band has such a wide range of jams. The future is BRIGHT!

I wish the other Madhuvan was still in the tournament, because then I could vote for this wonderful Dripfield and have two songs from shows I was at fighting it out for the title.

However... that's how the cookie crumbles, and this Madhuvan needs to move on. So long to this beautiful Valentine’s Day Dripfield, that was such a integral part of what I feel was the best show of the year.

"Madalena region is stronger and either GR Madh or CBus Wysteria should have no issue taking out Drip today. As it stands, I think GR Madh is about to sail easily on to the finals. But the votes will have to decide!" - Jeff Spicoli

For the record, GR Drip is only going up against Milwaukee Madhuvan today and it will lose. Also for the record, GR Madhuvan was already taken out by Milwaukee EMG. Milwaukee is the run of the year. What's that say about the future of Goose?

Madhuvan feels like the more championship ready jam between these two. Both of these are the best examples of Goose cohesively moving together as a unit all year. Madhuvan traps dark energy in a bottle and brings one of the bands best buildups ever. It’s hard to highlight any one member shining through, because of how coordinatedly the band is moving as one.

While phenomenal, this Drip is too structured and doesn’t show any mind bending or new improv developments to be a worthy championship contender. I love it and relisten to it regularly, but it’s crazy that it made it this far.

My #3 overall vs my #13 overall.

Lazy region felt sort of weak/weird on paper so I had a (correct) feeling that Drip would end up in the Final 4. But this should be the match where we finally say goodbye to the might Grand Rapids Dripfield.

Madalena region is stronger and either MKE Madh or CBus Wysteria should have no issue taking out Drip today. As it stands, I think MKE Madh is about to sail easily on to the finals. But the votes will have to decide!

Onward, Madhuvan! Definitely a JOTY-worthy jam and one that Goose fans will be telling their grandkids about. This Dripfield is awesome as well, even if it doesn't reach the same heights. Winter tour, man. Sheesh. Like others on this thread, I am hoping for a 2/8 EMG v. 2/7 Madhuvan final. It would be the first time that both jams in the final are jams that I had ranked as one seeds.

The second wave of applause after Madhuvan says it all. We all needed to catch our breath (including the band) and bask in the glory of what we just experienced. I’ve been to hundreds of shows since the 80s, and I’ve never seen anything like that moment of recognition. This is a special jam and deserves to be JOTY.

This is certainly the GOAT Drip and has earned a spot as a top jam of 25 but I couldn't vote for it over this Madhuvan which I ranked as my #2 jam. If things shake out the right way tomorrow the finals could be my #1 jam EMG vs my #2 jam Madhuvan both from MKE πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€.

Great πŸ’§ but this is not close. Madhuvan by a mile! I’m convinced a lot of the Dripfield voters will be Westville people trying to knock it out of a matchup VS AIN, or GR MAD people bitter that the other MAD is gone. Another type of shenanigans…lol

The Lazy region seems poisoned. Congratulations to the Dripfield for making it this far in the whackiest ways imaginable. Now it's time for it to go away. Just a powerhouse of a Madhuvan that's been destined for this championship opportunity since the night it was played. Madhuvan without a 2nd thought.

Dripfield received 70 more votes than the FITS in the first two rounds and then beat it head to head, then squeaked one out against a surging fan favorite Dusty. Peter matter of factly predicted it would advance on the pod. It's an underdog here but disagree with the idea that it doesn't belong. Was in my top 5 and saw many others with it up there too. Great jam that a lot of people love.

Weirdest thing to happen in this tournament *by far* is Bend Thatch randomly losing by a million.

Two of the best jams of 2025 here - both awesome in their own respective way. 2/7 Madhuvan was a sight to see / feel live and I’m grateful for that - an absolute f’ing monster energy jam and hope that we get the heavyweight championship matchup we all deserve in 2/8 EMG vs 2/7 Madhuvan!
