I'm not a big fan of either of these jams, so I will begrudgingly vote for Torero.

This one tough as hell, because both are really excellent. I think Torero gets the nod from me, but I wish these two hadn't come up against each other so early. I like that Torero gets deep into a trippy vibe.

Words can't describe how much I love this OIOO

Listening to Torero again right now cause I've listened to all the remaining tunes plenty and I love it so much.. the song is great, not my favorite of their newer comps in the slightest (heres looking at you dustin) but the composed part has grown on me for how well it sets up the jam. One thing that really sets Goose apart for me in general is their ability to layer in the perfect harmony in so many ways. Peter will never get enough credit for the work he does to complement Rick, but who would.
All that being said, I hope we get more One In, One Out in 2026, a lot more

Love Torero as a song. Canβt wait to hear it more. This one feels flabby. One In all the way
3 weeks ago
This Torero is hot & steamy! Peter & Rick just absolutely rip. One of my most listened to and I agree with the comments that it could go deep, especially since itβs about to get past this tough opening round. Both great jams!
lol. Torero does nothing interesting until the 17 min mark. people are bad at Goose
3 weeks ago
Oh, and a lot of people in the comments are talking about Torero's tragic disappearance from the rotation, but this is really a battle between two sorely missed songs, as OIOO is also MIA. last played on June 10th.

In my submitted bracket I had this Torero higher but upon relisten yesterday I ultimately voted OIOO. I'm kind of surprised that this one isn't closer. This OIOO is special imo.

One In One Out is fantastic but I just love this Torero. Mean old pa!

Gave these a final back to back listen now and shocked that I went with OIOO - awesome unique jam that fits the song perfectly!

Love this OIOO

Grateful to have seen both of these live but overall that Torero was some heat , I could definitely see this jam going a long way for being a 6 seed

I feel very blessed to have been at both of these shows. While Torero stands out as the more memorable, upon relisten⦠the One In One Out definitely gives it a run for its money.
Because it's a little longer, a little newer, a little more rare, and is probably the best version of it they've played thus far⦠my vote goes to Torero. While the One In One Out is beautiful and really unique (that whole pitch-bending thing Peter does between the 6:00 and 9:00 mark is amazing), this song kinda got lost in that monster Valentine's Day performance from GR (what I think is the best show of the year).
Wish I could send both on to the next round π

This may be the toughest matchup of the first round. Love both of these. The Torero hits all the stops on the 2025 Goose itenerary, starting wtih some dark sauce and eventually winding its way to low key happy place jam, It's really well done and a highly enjoyable listen. But this OOIO is a pretty stunning experience - the subtle delicate atmospherics are allowed to breath and expand in a way that gives the sensation of hovering along the ground and then slowly and almost impercetibly floating upwards towards the heavens. One of my go to jams of the year.

I'm shocked this isn't closer. I voted OIOO.

I love the twin guitar attack of Torero...although the OIOO is quite good. Peter is an excellent guitarist.
One In, One Out takes this one - very unique and ambient relative to most Goose jams, dig it! Very intentional playing as well. Pleasantly surprised.
Torero should get the sympathy vote based on its tragic disappearance alone. But itβs also a really nice groovy jam.
both of these have nice peaks but neither are special - great, just not special. Torero takes a while to get there even though its a well controlled, smooth climb. OIOO has the feels but isn't unique.

Thanks for taking away the percentages!!!
Someone yesterday asked why the vote totals don't match between the two votes. Since there's 2 matchups a day, I do the first matchup earlier in the day and the second matchup after dinner....which means that sometimes I dont get to that second one..I wonder if others are like me.

I've listened to Torero more times since it has been played, but thats mostly because I forgot about the beauty of this OiOO. Glad I relisten before voting. Tough match today.

One In, One Out is beautiful here.

Torero for the win. Honestly, this jam could be the bracket buster and get deep into the tournament. They could be the '85 Villanova (or 2002 Kent State!).
These are both excellent, and the winner should dominate the next round too hopefully. For this round, One In One Out is simply a beautiful piece of music, I listen to it very very often, and gets my vote here.

This One In One Out is a twin jam of Half Step from the night before. What a glorious build. Torero is multi section and tenacious but its heights donβt reach the glory of OIOO. Only 3 spots separated these on my list, close call.

This Torero jam is insane. Easy vote.

Torero is quite the ride

To me this should be a clear victory for One In One Out. Torero is the stronger tune by a country mile, but if we're talking jams I mean c'mon. I will say that the Trevor is a star on the Torero, that one's for the bass heads. But it's too meandering and the guitar melodies are weak and searching. On the other hand, one in one out knows exactly what it's going for and sticks the landing. Immediately they dive into a super lowkey and spacey jam with bending guitar tones and droning entrancing keys. Slowly and surely Rick brings his guitars up from the depths into a strong melody and powerful payoff. Sadly it gets crushed by Myst next round, but it really is a fantastic jam that should be the winner here.

It's a great OIOO, can't deny it. But it doesn't come close to this beast of a Torero. Easy vote.

OIOO is so good with stellar keys work from Peter. Torero gets my vote here though because itβs a monster and so awesome.
Goose please play both of these songs more often.
I do love this Torero, but my play button seemed to gravitate towards this OIOO more.
I like this OIOO a lot, but this Torero is an absolute beast IMO and will get my vote as long as it's still in play.
This is quite the matchup of two sneakily-awesome readings of excellent newer songs that Goose seemingly abandoned mid-year (seriously WTF?)
One of these is by a landslide my most listened-to jam of the year and is an absolute clinic of atmospherics & mood which resolves in a guitar solo that brings me to tears every time as I feel the Gravity of the universe washing over me and bathing my brainstem in primordial goo
The other is a stunning Torero
(we are always one in, one out)
This OIOO is definitely one of my top 5 most listened to jams this year. Absolutely loved it in the room and still listen to it regularly. That said, this Torero is a beast and should rightfully win a close battle here.

WE ARE ALWAYS ONE IN, ONE OUT!!!!!!!

Clearly the best Torero of the year, with some delightful digital sauce.
But this OIOO is rad. It's vibey and pulls on my emotional strings. Far more enveloping and compelling for me than this Torero. I'm going to stump hard for it.
Think this could be our first matchup within 10%.
Love the Torero but have to go OIOO. A beautiful jam from a magical night.
#JeffyJams OIOO is fantastic but the Torero is a really cool example of churning two-guitar bliss and I think it just has more meat on the bone here - though the psychedelic trance-space is something I'd LOVE them to explore more
3 weeks ago
Trevor shines in that monster Torero and for that Iβll give it the nod. OIOO is 100% Rick bliss but donβt get much else from the others
3 weeks ago
This OIOO does wayyyy more in 15 minutes than Torero in 24. Give me OIOO bliss all the way
1 month ago
This first set jam matchup pits two songs criminally underplayed this year against one another.. single One In, One Out vs the longest yet and most recent Torero they've played. While this blissed out OIOO deserves to be in the JOTY running and helps support a strong case for 2/14 being one of the best shows of the year, it absolutely should go down to this Torero. Despite its almost impossible run to the elite 8, I hope folks will give it a fair shot as the finest jam to come out of Cleveland this year and gives us a glimpse of whatβs possible with this song.
